Highlight Your Brand’s USPs Early In The Funnel

If users don’t quickly grasp what makes your brand unique, they may lose interest or choose a competitor. Waiting too long to showcase your USPs means missed opportunities to hook them early.

Communicate your biggest differentiators upfront—whether it’s superior quality, a unique guarantee, or unbeatable value. Featuring them in your homepage hero, product pages, and checkout flow increases conversions.

Focus your USP placement in your homepage hero section for maximum early-funnel impact.

  1. Identify Your Top 3 USPs: Choose your strongest differentiators (free shipping, lifetime warranty, made in USA, etc.) and prioritize them by customer importance
  2. Homepage Hero Setup (Shopify): Navigate to Online Store > Themes > Customize. In your hero section, add a text block positioned 20-40px below your main headline. Use 16-18px font size with high contrast colors
  3. Create USP Visual Elements: Design 60x60px icons for each USP. Place them horizontally below your hero CTA button with 15px spacing between each element
  4. Mobile Optimization: Stack USPs vertically on mobile with 10px spacing. Reduce icon size to 40x40px and font to 14px for optimal readability
  5. Product Page Integration: Add your top USP as a banner above the add-to-cart button using Shopify's product template customization
