Show Users How to Use Your Product

context

If your product has a standout feature, innovation, or competitive advantage, don't assume users will automatically notice it. If it's buried in text or hidden in the details, they might overlook what makes it special.

Why?

Dedicate a section to what sets your product apart—whether it's a patented design, superior materials, exclusive technology, or a unique benefit competitors lack. Use compelling copy, visuals, or comparisons to make it clear why your product is the smarter choice.

Content
  • Your product page bounce rate exceeds 60% or time on page is under 90 seconds
  • You have a unique feature, patent, or technology that competitors lack but conversion rates remain under 3%
  • Analytics show users aren't scrolling past your main product images or engaging with product details
  • Your store generates 1,000+ monthly visitors but customers frequently ask basic "how does this work?" questions
  • You're on Shopify, WooCommerce, or similar platform with ability to customize product page sections

Create a dedicated "How It Works" section directly below your product images and above the add-to-cart button.

  1. In Shopify Admin, go to Online Store > Themes > Customize > Product Pages
  2. Add a new section called "Product Usage Demo" with 3-4 step visual breakdown
  3. Use 300x200px images or GIFs showing your product in action with 2-3 sentence explanations
  4. Include comparison elements: "Unlike other products that..." followed by your advantage
  5. For mobile, stack images vertically with 20px spacing between elements
